HEALING BY WRITING: workshops & public reading
Date: TBA Santa Rosa Arts Center, 312 South A Street, Santa Rosa, CA 95404 Many in Sonoma County lost homes and suffered trauma in the October 2017 fires, and were re-traumatized during the 2018-2019 fires in neighboring counties and, again, in 2019, in Sonoma County. On the heels of the fires, we are now in the midst of a pandemic. Writing is a powerful way to give voice to those experiences and help heal the trauma suffered on a personal level and in our communities. Using writing prompts, these two 2-hour workshops provide an opportunity for Sonoma County residents to give voice to their experiences for personal and community transformation and healing. The workshop will culminate in a public reading and an exhibition of the participants’ writings. All are welcome. Other workshops
